Job Description
Umbra is seeking a motivated Spacecraft Systems Engineer to design and implement next-generation space systems for their Mission Solutions programs. The role involves developing modular, resilient space vehicles, working with remote sensing and space operations teams, and contributing to mission-critical products. This is a technical, solution-focused position focused on delivering mission-relevant solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- 8-10+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Expertise in spacecraft and payload subsystems.
- Experience with development of at least one spacecraft subsystem (e.g., Power, Comm, GN&C, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.)
- Proven leadership ability to drive technical concepts.
- Experience with integration, testing, launch, and operations.
- Knowledge of flight software, firmware development, and interfaces.
- Familiarity with systems engineering processes.
