Youth Prevention Internship-North Texas

The Youth Prevention Intern will assist paid staff in developing curriculum, training events, and data analysis. The intern will also help with inputting data after presentations with schools and juvenile detention centers.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree or graduate degree in social work, child development, psychology, criminal justice, or counseling
• Completion of at least 60 credit hours of undergraduate work
• Willingness to accept direction from paid staff
• Ability to commit to Youth Prevention for 12 weeks at a minimum of 9 hours per week
• High level of emotional maturity and responsibility
• Strong work ethic - consistent and reliable
• Committed to respecting all people, with the ability to build trust and good working relationships with others
• Commitment to excellence and professionalism in services provided
• Excellent relational, communication, and interpersonal skills
