Transportation Manager

Univar Solutions is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead the transportation operation for a branch location. The role involves managing both private and common carrier transportation, overseeing a team of supervisors and dispatchers, and ensuring efficient operation of the company fleet. The Transportation Manager will also be responsible for cost savings, compliance, and collaboration with other departments.

Requirements

• Accountable for the safe and efficient execution of the branch's transportation operations.
• Manage the execution of retention and recruiting strategies for the private fleet drivers.
• Manage and develop the Transportation Supervisor and Dispatcher.
• Responsible for all disciplinary and coaching of Transportation employees.
• Manage and maintain transportation capacity to support a 20% surge in volume.
• Collaborate with other DTMs within the region.
• Manage local Transportation team and provide guidance.
• Budgeting (P&L) experience.
• Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
