Paramedic, EMS Services-Critical Care Transport Unit

The Paramedic is responsible for delivering and directing both Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS and ALS) care in the pre-hospital setting, in collaboration with EMS team members and under the guidance of a licensed Medical Control Physician (MCP) and EMS Supervisor.

Requirements

• Provides and directs both Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) in the pre-hospital setting
• Works in coordination with EMS team members under the direction of a licensed Medical Control Physician (MCP) and EMS Supervisor
• Responds to emergencies involving patients of all ages and backgrounds, in all weather and environmental conditions
• Uses appropriate equipment and techniques to assess, treat, lift, and safely transport patients
• Transports patients to appropriate medical facilities based on condition and care needs
• Accurately completes all required reports and documentation
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support efficient EMS operations
• Represents University Hospital and EMS with professionalism, integrity, and compassion
