Job Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Human Resources team is recruiting a Part-Time Computer Technician to support our dynamic and committed HRIS team. The Computer Technician provides hands-on technical support for departmental hardware, software, and network-related functions, while helping maintain a secure and compliant technology environment.
Requirements
- Install, configure, and support department computer hardware and software programs
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of computer systems and peripheral equipment
- Provide day-to-day technical support for local area network operations and assist with basic networking functions
- Manage HR shared Active Directory (AD) domains and user access
- Provide data entry support and assist with departmental database management
- Partner with internal departments to resolve networking and application issues affecting end users
- Support department in HR technology initiatives
