Job Description
The University of Chicago's Biological Sciences Division (BSD) seeks a Director of Academic Affairs to manage compliant search, recruitment, and outreach efforts, as well as offer case preparation for faculty and other academic appointees. The Director will partner with chairs, executive administrators, and academic affairs administrators to develop tools, standards, and practices that will streamline the recruitment and human resources management of faculty and other academic appointees.
Requirements
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Office of Academic Affairs
- Draft, review, and submit materials in support of divisional appointive actions
- Serve as a resource to faculty, administrative leaders, and administrators on university policy and process matters
- Promote and ensure efficient processing compliance
- Contribute to process improvement
- Draft correspondence on faculty and other academic appointee matters
- Facilitate submission of visa materials
- Organize and manage electronic files, databases, and website
- Gather and analyze data for possible solutions
- Create training and programming for faculty and chair development
- Prepare and present analyses, reports, and marketing materials
