The Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility Genetics Laboratory requires a Senior Research Technician to work on projects providing a genetic analysis service to researchers.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification
- Work experience in relevant technical and clinical governance roles
- Extensive knowledge of a range of genomic analysis techniques
- Previous experience and knowledge of DNA and RNA sequencing using Next-Generation analysis platforms
- Ability to explain techniques and results to all levels of investigator, members of staff and laboratory visitors
- Ability to work independently and have project and people management experience
- Well-developed interpersonal, communication and IT skills
- Good organisational skills
