Assistant Professor, Special Education

The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Special Education to begin July 1, 2026. The selected individual will conduct an active research and publication program, provide service to the college, university, and the profession, and teach undergraduate, master's, and doctoral-level courses in special education.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in special education or a closely related education field
• Expertise as a generalist in special education
• Three to five years teaching experience at the K-12 level or the equivalent of a record of providing direct services in special education for students with mild-to-moderate disabilities
