The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Director of Aerospace and Defense Academy, a non-tenure track position responsible for overseeing a program to address the growing shortage in human capital entering government contracting business and to equip small businesses with the tools to successfully do business with the government.
Requirements
- Lecturer IV-Master's degree and 7 years of related experience
- Teaching Professor-Terminal degree and 7 years of related experience
- Government contracting related experience
- Potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Potential to develop a nationally competitive program
- Potential to supervise and mentor those that are hired, including an adjunct faculty, a program coordinator and a graduate assistant
- Potential to collaborate productively with faculty in academic units in the college and across campus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in oral and written English
