Job Description
The University of Utah Health is seeking a Patient-Focused Registered/Temp Staff Member to maintain, operate, and repair air conditioning and refrigeration equipment within the University of Utah Hospital. This role is not directly involved in patient care but is crucial for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The position requires a commitment to hospital values and collaboration within a healthcare setting.
Requirements
- Maintains and rebuilds hermetically and semi-hermetic sealed compressor systems.
- Recharges air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoots and repairs refrigeration-related electrical components.
- May service and maintain centrifugal and absorption chillers.
- Completes after-hours on-call rotation.
- Demonstrated potential ability to perform essential functions.
- Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of refrigerants used in commercial and residential applications.
