Contract: Senior Database Automation Engineer (APAC)

Join Upwork's Data Infrastructure team as a Senior Database Automation Engineer to design and implement Python-based automation frameworks for database lifecycle management, collaborate with infrastructure teams, and optimize Postgres performance, replication, and backup strategies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience with relational databases
• Strong background in Python
• Deep experience in both database engineering/administration and software development
• SQL proficiency
• Experience with Terraform and related infrastructure-as-code tools (a plus)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) (a plus)
