Free People Senior Designer - Embellishment & Craft

Free People is seeking a Senior Designer for Femme Embellishment to lead the creation of original artwork for dresses and femme tops. This role focuses on embroidery, embellishment, and surface design, and collaboration with the design team to refine the brand's style and maintain production needs. The role requires strong artistic skills, industry knowledge, and excellent teamwork skills.

Requirements

• Collaborate with the Design Director to execute the seasonal textile vision.
• Create seasonal craft sourcing packs based on the season's trends.
• Work with design and buying teams to develop embellishments and embroideries for retail and wholesale divisions.
• Participate in design flow meetings to visually demonstrate the cohesive story.
• Conduct research, create specific artworks, and manage an associate designer.
• Utilize traditional drawing, painting, and other artistic techniques.
