Senior Electrical Engineer

Ursa Major is a leading provider of high-performance propulsion and defense systems. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop avionics hardware for space applications. The engineer will contribute to the design, development, and validation of hardware interfaces for measurement and control components, working with design and development teams and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves working on complex projects requiring a passion for solving problems and developing skills in avionics development.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in delivering flight avionics for aircraft, launch vehicles, or other space applications.
• S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of direct experience in electronics hardware development.
• Understanding of analog/digital filtering, mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, and test design.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power, grounding, and general board layout principles.
• Understanding of sensor and actuator technologies (RTD, Pressure Transducers, DC brushless motors, etc.).
• Working knowledge of EMI/EMC practices and; MIL-461, DO-160, or FCC compliance.
