Operations Manager

Vable is seeking an Operations Manager to join their team as the CEO's right-hand person, responsible for owning finance, legal, and operational functions, leveraging AI to optimize processes, and becoming a force multiplier for strategic growth. The role involves working closely with leadership, building and maintaining reports and dashboards, managing software licenses, and supporting the CEO on special projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education, 3-4 years of experience in operations or a similar role in a start-up or scale-up environment, and AI fluency.

Requirements

• Degree level Education (2:1 or First) with quantitative A-levels demonstrating analytical thinking
• 3-4 years in operations or a similarly broad role in a start-up or scale-up environment
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills - comfortable with pivot tables, data analysis, and using AI to build complex formulas when needed
• AI fluency - already using AI tools daily to solve real problems
• Genuinely tech fluent — you pick up new tools quickly, enjoy exploring what they can do, and don't wait to be trained
• Track record of execution: reliable, thorough, and you only need to be asked once
• Excellent judgement with confidential and sensitive information
• Able to manage a demanding and varied workload independently, without losing quality or pace
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across a remote team
• The right to live and work in the UK
