Assembly & Test/Tech 'A' - 2nd Shift

Assembles pneumatic and hydraulic valves, conducts tests on systems, subassemblies, and parts to ensure unit functions, and analyzes test results to determine cause of unit failure.

Requirements

• Conduct high pressure and cryogenic testing safely
• Work from blueprints to assemble and test various valves and filters within allotted timeframe
• Calibrate test instruments according to specifications
• Analyze test results and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications
• Record test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method
• Compare results with specifications and document test data
• Operate and maintain equipment such as Instron machines, AstroMed, and mass spectrometer
• Confere with engineers, technicians, production personnel, and quality control personnel regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems
