Job Description
Valard Construction is seeking a Utility Person to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems in central Ontario. This hands-on role requires strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to commute within a reasonable distance.
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ driver’s license (required)
- Ability to provide clean driver's abstract
- Ground Disturbance, WHMIS, Traffic Control, and Book 7 training (required)
- Demonstrated experience in reading and verifying locates
- Hands-on experience with rock drilling, chipping, boring and equipment operation (mini-excavator, skid steer, backhoe)
- Experience hauling and operating heavy equipment (asset) considered a strong asset
- Local employment or commute within a reasonable distance
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
