Job Description
Valard Construction is seeking a Utility Person to join their growing team in the Central Ontario area. This hands-on position involves providing support in construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems, requiring strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. The role involves operating heavy equipment, reading utilities locates, and supporting field operations.
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ driver’s license
- Clean driver's abstract
- Ground Disturbance, WHMIS, Traffic Control, and Book 7 training
- Demonstrated experience in reading and verifying locates
- Hands-on experience with rock drilling, chipping, boring, and equipment operation
- Experience hauling and operating heavy equipment (a plus)
- Local to the Ontario region (or ability to commute within a reasonable distance)
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
