Job Description
Vast is a space exploration company building artificial gravity space stations. They are seeking a Principal Flight Software Engineer to develop software for their early-stage space habitat, Haven-1. The role involves fault-tolerant code development, integrating flight code with avionics, and ensuring safety-critical systems work correctly. It's a hands-on position requiring collaboration within a team dedicated to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a relevant discipline
- 15+ years coding with C++
- Familiarity with control systems, orbital mechanics, and modeling and simulation techniques
