Job Description
Vertical Aerospace is pioneering electric aviation with the VX4 eVTOL. They are seeking an Advanced Hardware Electronics Engineer (BMS) to design, integrate, and validate the BMS hardware for next-generation eVTOL aircraft. The role involves multidisciplinary teamwork, design, testing, and systems integration. The company is rapidly growing from a prototype business to a scaling SME focused on aviation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics, Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline
- Experience with Battery Management Systems and power electronics, including power converters
- Proven ability in schematic and PCB design
- Understanding of EMC principles and PCB design rules
- Experience with FMEA, DFMEA, and single-component failure analysis
- Experience with requirements management processes and tools
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
