Entry Level Structural Engineer

VHB is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join their structures group in Raleigh, NC or Charlotte, NC. The role involves assisting with all aspects of transportation related structural design and engineering, from conceptual design to final detailing, and requires participation in field work and drafting of plan sets. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship.

Requirements

• Participate in structural design for transit and highway structures.
• Assist in drafting project details and plans using CAD software.
• Prepare quantity calculations and cost estimates.
• Assist in preparing contract documents and specifications.
• Effective and comfortable in a highly collaborative environment
• Strong technical skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated and willing to take on technical challenges
• Excellent attention to detail
• Commitment to quality
• B.S. in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred)
