Job Description
The Power Plant Assistant provides daily support to operations by maintaining the cleanliness of the plant and assists activities of the mechanical maintenance crew.
Requirements
- Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies
- Sweep, wash, wax, polish, dust or wipe walls, floors, desks, cabinets, lavatories, etc.
- Keep designated areas adjacent to buildings, such as sidewalks and drives, free from ice, snow, water, or refuse
- Properly dispose of waste such as paper, cardboard, and garbage
- Separate recyclable materials for pickup
- Water, cut and trim grass and shrubbery
- Keep the immediate work area safe and neat; ensure the work area is safe and clean at the completion of the workday
- Report any unusual conditions
- Utilize Maximo to perform all related PM’s & Workorders and Support
- Under general supervision, alone or with the assistance of other employees perform basic maintenance functions as assigned
- Participate in various training programs to help support all maintenance functions
