Cook

The Cook at the Adult Care Home is responsible for preparing daily meals for residents, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. This role involves menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and adherence to all home policies and procedures. The position also includes assisting residents with their rights and maintaining kitchen and equipment safety.

Requirements

• Prepare required menus at least one week in advance, specifying portions and snacks.
• Record menu substitutions and post menus in the kitchen.
• Prepare and serve three meals a day, with at least 10 hours between breakfast and dinner.
• Maintain an up-to-date preference list of foods for each resident.
• Prepare and serve nutritional bags for day program attendees.
• Prepare and assure appropriate menu snacks.
• Take inventory and purchase food supplies.
• Check all food deliveries and follow company policy.
• Must have a clear SBI and DMV record.
