Job Description
The Certified Recovery Coach is responsible for promoting a recovery-based approach to care, focusing on respect, self-direction, and empowerment. This role involves providing peer support, personal assistance, education, and fostering stability and wellness in recovery. The coach will work with individuals receiving services from Victory Programs at various locations, and will be part of recovery support provided to patients. The candidate needs a commitment to the recovery process and to be a strong support system for others.
Requirements
- Acceptance of substance use history
- Understanding of the recovery process
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years sustained recovery
- Completion of Recovery Coach Academy
- Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
- Positive attitude toward recovery
- Strong communication skills
- Interpersonal/conflict resolution skills
- Organizational skills
- Analytical/problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
