Job Description
The Registered Nurse, General Surgical/Trauma position is responsible for direct and indirect nursing care of assigned patients, including supervision of personnel, interpretation of policies and procedures, and communication of information. This role requires expertise in both the nursing and hospital settings and a strong ability to deliver quality care through various methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Nursing
- One year of Nursing/Patient Care in an acute care setting
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
- Compact State Licensure in Nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS (ED, ICU, CVICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Bronch Suite, Interventional Radiology, Radiology Safety Nurses, Step down Units, Pediatric Nurses, Pediatric Nurses, ED) (3A, 3B, 4B)
- PALS (PACU: Pediatric Nurses, ED)
- De-escalation training (BHU, ED)
- Policy adherence to ACLS or PALS
