Job Description
The VITAS Home Health Aide (HHA) provides personal care and services to hospice patients to augment care given by family members or caregivers. HHA assignments may include home health aides helping patients maintain hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and assisting with treatments, as well as reading temperatures, checking pulse and respiration, and recording vital signs. They support the patient's overall well-being in a safe environment.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- 75 hours of training documentation.
- Completed competency evaluation and Certificate of Completion.
