Job Description
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients admitted to the VITAS program. This includes administering treatments and medications, conducting interdisciplinary assessments, and assisting with patient care. The role requires collaboration with a team manager and focuses on maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families. The position emphasizes therapeutic relationships and follows established protocols.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience (LPN/LVN in a hospital setting).
- Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Reliable transportation and liability insurance required.
