Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides direct skilled nursing care to terminally ill patients in the VITAS program. They administer treatments, educate families, and follow the Nurse Practice Act in accordance with the plan of care. The role requires close collaboration with a registered nurse and utilizes various nursing skills to promote patient and family well-being.

Requirements

• Must have and maintain transportation.
• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state.
• At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, with at least one year in a hospital setting (adult medical surgical unit).
