The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will administer nursing care to terminally ill patients, in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The role involves direct patient care, assessment, monitoring, and documentation, and is part of a team focused on providing holistic care. This is a full-time position for VA’s VITAS program.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Practical/Vocational nursing.
- Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
- At least one year of satisfactory nursing experience, at least one year of which is an LPN/LVN in a hospital on an adult medical surgical unit.
- Capable of assisting in the lifting and transferring patients as required.
- Must be willing to work on flexible schedule, including weekends or rotating shifts.
- 2. Participate in Nurse LPN/LVN on-call rotation/schedule as assigned in order to meet the needs of patients and families.
