Medical Director- Hospice

VITAS® Healthcare is seeking a Medical Director to oversee medical direction of patient care and treatment for hospice patients and families. This role involves consulting with attending physicians, providing medical expertise, and contributing to quality standards. The position is part-time and requires approximately one-half of the time and effort of a full-time role.

Requirements

• Knowledge of principles of primary medical care with oncology expertise.
• Knowledge of palliative care and symptom control.
• Membership in good standing on the medical staff of an accredited hospital.
• Medical malpractice and liability insurance.
• Positive recommendation from corporate medical officer.
