Medical Director- Hospice

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a Medical Director to oversee the care and treatment of patients and their families in a hospice program. The role involves medical direction of patient care, consultation with attending physicians, and acting as a resource for medical staff and the community. The position requires a commitment to quality standards, collaborative practice, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the principles and practice of primary medical care.
• Knowledge of palliative care with emphasis on symptom control.
• Ability to collaborate with attending physicians.
• Membership in good standing on the medical staff of an accredited hospital.
• Medical malpractice and liability insurance.
• Positive recommendation from corporate medical officer.
