Nurse Manager

Nurse Manager position at Senior CommUnity Care of NC, sponsored by Volunteers of America, responsible for conducting comprehensive initial nursing assessments, developing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Conducts or coordinates an in-person comprehensive initial nursing assessment with new PACE enrollees
• Coordinates with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop a comprehensive care plan for each participant
• Provides orientation, initial and annual competencies, supervises and evaluates performance of Clinical Registered Nurse (R.N.), LPN, Health Care Coordinator, and Clinic CNA
• Assists with recruiting and selecting nursing staff
• Implements systems to assure compliance with all state and federal and local laws and regulations
• Ensures that the job responsibilities, authorities and accountability of direct reports are defined and understood
• Engages in team building, coaches and mentors staff, instructs and teaches staff as needed
• Oversees staffing and scheduling for the nursing departments and ensuring appropriate staffing levels
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of the reporting departments and implements change and quality improvement as needed
