Job Description
This role involves reviewing and approving First Article Inspections (FAIs) for customer aerospace and defense orders, ensuring they meet AS9102 standards. The position requires a detailed understanding of manufacturing processes and a commitment to quality. The role involves collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve non-conformance issues and ensure compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry
- 5+ years of experience creating, reviewing, or approving FAI's
- Extensive hands-on experience with composites, circuit board assemblies, sheet metal, and other commodities
- Working understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME/ASQ Y14.5)
- Strong knowledge of purchase orders, certifications, APLs, QPLs, and ASLs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry standards such as AS9102 and related regulations
