Wärtsilä Energy is a leader in the transition towards a 100% renewable energy future. We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team to supervise and coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities and ensure plant performance targets are achieved. The role involves coaching and mentoring maintenance staff, developing and improving maintenance routines and workflows, and prioritizing and allocating tasks to optimize team resources.
Requirements
- Graduate in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a diploma holder with at least 10 years of experience
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Skilled in working with PLC and SCADA systems, including programming, modifications, troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Strong knowledge of protection relays, low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) systems, alternators, and engine auxiliary systems
- Hands-on experience with Wärtsilä control systems, specifically UNIC C1 and C2
- Capable of leading a team of electrical engineers, technicians, providing guidance and coaching as needed
- Practical experience in overhauling engines and auxiliary systems, with a readiness to perform hands-on maintenance tasks
- Proven experience in maintaining large diesel engine-based power plants
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team
- Willingness to work extended hours when required by operational needs
- Familiarity with Wärtsilä maintenance management system, MAXIMO
