WaterConnect LLC is a project development company dedicated to creating opportunities for construction-stage investment in water supply and sanitation infrastructure in low- and middle-income countries. The Regional Director, Central and South Asia will lead the acquisition and development of WSS infrastructure projects in the Central and South Asia region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and/or equivalent related work experience
- 15 or more years of progressive responsibility and experience in Water Supply and Sanitation private sector participation, utilities/infrastructure project development/preparation in Central and South Asia
- Proven track record of business development, including high degree of commercial awareness and business acumen as well as demonstrated success in developing and fostering key relationships
- Deep knowledge of private sector participation in the water supply and sanitation, including PPP schemes and modalities, such as DBFOT, BOOT, HAM, and concessions
- At least 10 years of experience leading development or implementation of infrastructure projects and advance proficiency in the project life-cycle from concept to commercial operations and infrastructure project procurement models
- Experience in pre-financial close preparation of infrastructure projects
- Understanding of infrastructure policy and regulations in emerging markets
- Understanding of infrastructure investor requirements and processes
- Self-driven & proactive problem-solver
- Comfort working in a small, virtual team in a hands-on role
- Multi-country experience in the Central and South Asia Region
- Demonstrated commitment to social and environmental impact
- Proficient (written and verbal) in English
