Senior Data Engineer

Weekday is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing data architectures and pipelines to support scalable data solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, managing large datasets, and ensuring data quality and reliability.

Requirements

• 6-9 years of experience in data engineering
• Strong proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Experience with data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift
• Experience with Athena, Glue and S3
• Experience with Kafka for data streaming
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline optimization
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing
• Experience with Apache Spark for big data processing
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure for data infrastructure
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
