French Canadian Linguist

As a French Canadian Linguist at Welocalize, you will perform quality control tasks, on-demand translation tasks, and linguistic lead functions on assigned projects. You will also manage project-related queries, prepare and maintain language materials, and develop and train new and existing freelancers.

Requirements

• University degree in Translation/Applied Languages or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4+ years of relevant experience in the translation and localization industry
• Fluent in French Canadian (native level), both written and spoken, fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Excellent feel for language (source/target)
• Knowledge of terminology in IT consumer products, social media, and entertainment
• Thorough understanding of the localization process
