Mechanical Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking planned maintenance activities at our Wastewater Treatment Works in Dinas Powys, Cog Moors. The role will involve carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on all equipment, investigating plant failures, and implementing and maintaining the Information Management System (IMS) procedures.

Requirements

• Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical or dual skilled engineering to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• ONC in mechanical/electrical or relevant dual skilled engineering or relevant experience in a similar role
• Full driving licence
• Ability to work alone and as a member of a team
• IT literate in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of pumping systems, chemical dosing systems, rotating equipment & machinery, hydraulics, electrical systems and pneumatics
• Transferrable experience to ensure full compliance and adherence to all H&S procedures
