Job Description
Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (WBHH) is seeking a Utilization Review Specialist to monitor adherence to their utilization review plan, ensuring efficient hospital services. This role involves data collection, analysis, and reporting, focusing on documentation and discharge planning. The position is Per Diem and requires a commitment to adhering to regulations and upholding ethical standards.
Requirements
- Initiates authorization requests.
- Performs concurrent reviews for patients.
- Advises treatment team in documentation.
- Maintains communication with the Social Services department.
- Submits discharge clinical.
- Familiarity with admission and discharge function.
- Knowledge of health care service delivery systems and managed care environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic terms and treatment modalities.
- Knowledge of medical record keeping.
