Requirements
- Drive strategy design and support Response Management of its' implementation
- Secure resource to support the Response Strategy implementation
- Ensure mechanisms are in place to ensure grants are managed and reported in compliance of WV and donors' requirement with the support of other functions
- Establish, resource and staff the programmes unit which consists of programming, MEAL, IM and Partnering functions
- Lead a team with a shared vision, teamwork, effective communication, and active engagement in decision making and management approaches
- Champion performance management mechanisms, ensuring full participation and quality results to promote staff engagement and a culture of excellence
- Cultivate an atmosphere of staff empowerment and motivation leading to active participation in programme initiatives
- Provide leadership in strategy formulation, planning implementation and monitoring to ensure alignment with WV priorities, regional context, donor priorities and the Humanitarian response plans
- Support external engagement and ensure that an up-to-date donor-engagement exists and that relevant staff are equipped to adopt and implement the plan in collaboration with WV offices and communication and advocacy staff
- Oversee the management of the GAM lead to manage: grant acquisition, grant management, quality assurance and accountability, information management, and partnerships
