The SSYI Outreach Case Manager works with high-risk young adults to connect them with essential services, with the ultimate goal of reducing violence and criminal activity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); associate or bachelor's degree in social work, human services, criminal justice, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in youth outreach, street work, reentry services, or case management.
- Strong connection to and knowledge of the local community.
- Demonstrated ability to engage high-risk youth and young adults.
- Cultural competency and trauma-informed care experience.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some nights and weekends.
- Commitment to public safety, racial equity, and youth development.
- Commitment to the YMCA mission, values, and leadership competencies, with a willingness to obtain Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification within the required timeframe.
