Job Description
The Assistant Swim Coach will assist the Head Coach with leading age-appropriate activities for groups of swimmers at practice, promoting and incorporating the YMCA's core values and mission.
Requirements
- Attend all practices and swim meets
- Give swimmers knowledge to understand and master strokes allowing for movement up through the swim team groups, and provide corrective feedback that will enhance swimmers' techniques
- Build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents
- Ensure the safety of swimmers at the practice by following proper precautions and regulations
- Lead practices of the group(s) with care and excitement
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by supervisors
- Assist with the recruiting, development and maintaining volunteers and parent groups/committees
- Lead warm ups
- Organize equipment
