Job Description
Join the Greater Cleveland YMCA team as a Swim Coach at Geauga YMCA. Responsibilities include building relationships with swimmers, instructing and providing feedback on technique, and leading practices. Qualifications include swim experience, American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, and prior coaching experience preferred.
Requirements
- Build effective, authentic relationships with swimmers and encouraging parental support and involvement
- Instruct and provide feedback on technique, allowing for movement up through the swim team groups
- Provide leadership and direction for assistant coaches and support volunteers
- Prepare and plan schedules and achievement guidelines for practices, leading practices
- Coordinate with the other Swim Team Coaches and Aquatics Directors to plan swim meets
- Plan and coordinate branch team gatherings, end of season celebrations and other events
