Job Description
The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMNNP) provides outpatient psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and treatment at Young House Family Services in Burlington, IA. This role involves working with adult and youth clients with behavioral health issues, assisting with patient care, and providing support for de-escalation and crisis intervention. The PMNNP serves as a liaison between the team and external resources.
Requirements
- Current license with the Iowa Board of Nursing or Iowa Department of Public Health.
- Certification with US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration for Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
- ANCC Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner preferred.
- Certification with State of Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiners for Certificate of Registration Iowa Controlled Substance Act.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
