Job Description
Fluidra is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join their Carlsbad, CA team. This in-person role involves designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting injection molding processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with injection mold tooling, scientific molding principles, and ability to perform mold-filling simulations and review injection mold tool designs.
Requirements
- Familiarity with 3D CAD modeling software (Solidworks preferred)
- Experience reviewing injection molded part designs for manufacturability
- Experience setting up and optimizing new injection mold tools with process validation studies
- Strong knowledge of scientific molding methods
- Strong knowledge of injection mold tool gating, venting, cooling, and parting line decisions
- Track record of injection molding troubleshooting
- Experience working with international contract manufacturers
- 8+ years of tooling and molding experience
- Certification or formal training in scientific molding (a plus)
