Certified Medical Assistant

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) assists patients in their clinical interactions, including obtaining patient information, obtaining vital signs, and providing basic patient care. This role involves following strict patient safety and HIPAA guidelines, educating patients, and maintaining a clean examination environment. The CMA also assists in obtaining lab results and maintaining accurate patient records.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current medical assistant certification (MA), EKG certification, Phlebotomy certification, and BLS certification
• Minimum 6 months clinical/medical experience (or 120 hours of externship experience)
• Meet or exceed the required hours to ensure proficiency
