Job Description
Government Senior Underwriter job description: AD Mortgage is a leading nationwide mortgage lender with over 20 years of experience delivering residential and commercial loan solutions. We are looking for a Senior Underwriter to review loan applications, ensure compliance with Federal, State, and investor requirements, and make sound underwriting decisions.
Requirements
- Reviews all items and conditions provided by borrowers and ensures they meet the required guidelines
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, and USDA guidelines, including thorough knowledge of the 4000.1 HUD Handbook and VA Lender's Handbook
- Direct Endorsement (DE) and LAPP/SAR certifications preferred
- Knowledge of Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac
- Wholesale / Correspondent experience and Non-QM experience preferred
- Analyzes documentation such as credit, income, assets, and appraisals to make sound underwriting decisions
- Identifies risk issues and/or potential misrepresentation in loan applications
- Reviews and clears conditions on all loans to ensure a complete loan package prior to closing
- Utilizes proprietary and online tools to help combat fraudulent activity and ensure quality loan decisions
