Maintenance Manager

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading the engineering and building services function at London Designer Outlet. This role ensures the centre’s mechanical, electrical, and building fabric systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting a high-quality guest and retailer experience.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing maintenance teams within retail, commercial, leisure, or similar operational environments.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC, water systems, and controls.
• Demonstrable experience of statutory compliance, safe systems of work, and permit-to-work processes.
• Excellent leadership, team management, and people-development skills.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with an analytical, proactive approach.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Good IT skills including CMMS, Microsoft Office, and digital reporting tools.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, work independently, and manage time effectively.
• Customer-focused mindset appropriate for a live retail and leisure environment.
