Residential Support Worker

We're looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our team at Viking House, a 6-bedded short break residential service for children and young people with physical and/or learning disabilities. You will lead a team of staff in supporting the children with their day-to-day personal needs and help to maintain a safe and fun environment. In return, we'll offer you amazing opportunities to progress within our organisation, including enrolling you in qualifications to move towards a Registered Manager role.

Requirements

• Experience of working in a care setting and developing positive relationships through trust
• Range of techniques to co-ordinate and communicate with service users and their families
• Emotional resilience to respond to the challenging nature of the role
• Ability to supervise less experienced staff
• Demonstrate application of diversity policies within a residential setting
• Ability to lead on care plans and reviews
