Job Description
Adventist Health is seeking a Sr. Certified Coder to review patient records and ensure accurate coding according to coding conventions and guidelines. The role involves abstracting diagnoses and assigning codes, collaborating with clinical documentation, and maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies. Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Three years' inpatient coding experience
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Understanding of MS-DRG and APR-DRG methodologies
- Understanding of HAC/PSI
