The Technician I, Operator (Day Shift) position at Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition supports all general production activities, including setting up equipment, monitoring the filling process, and final packaging for distribution. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of manufacturing experience, and attention to detail and accuracy.
Requirements
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of manufacturing experience (food manufacturing preferred)
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to safely operate a tow motor
- Reliable, dependable, with a “team player” orientation
- Willingness to be flexible on working hours, including weekends and holidays
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Willingness to speak up and review problems with supervisor in order to determine best course of action, offering suggestions and providing clear communication of the problem
- Demonstrated verbal communication skills to be effective
- Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds
- Occasional bending, reaching overhead, crouching, balancing, pushing, or pulling
- Able to access all areas of the plant including the roof and areas above equipment
- Ability to operate cars, trucks, forklifts, and other powered equipment and tools
- Must be able to wear all PPE that is required
- Understanding the requirements for sanitary filling of product into various containers
- Understand all packaging and labeling requirements for products
- Supporting production processes from set-up of equipment to the filling process
- Any necessary cleaning before, during, or after production of a batch
- Any necessary packaging for final distribution of product
- Understand all associated regulations and procedures, including USDA policies and allergen compliance
- Adhere to all safety standards
- Set-up and operate production and automated packaging equipment
- Understand all equipment capabilities and production procedures
- Maintain product segregation and lot/batch management
- Understand and safely perform proper cleaning procedures, following SSOP guidelines
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately and thoroughly per procedures
- Maintain clean, organized and safe working environment
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
